| Description |
restores a specially formatted account-save created by certain utility programs.
The generic-restore program functions identically to the "account-restore" verb, except that it expects the tape to be formatted as a series of T-dumps written by a utility run on a non-D3 machine. Current utilities for dumping from non-D3 boxes include: UVDUMP for dumping from uniVerse systems, and R83DUMP for dumping accounts from R83-based licencee systems. |

| Warnings | Certain Pick look-a-likes do not write binary items out in a standard T-DUMP format. This causes the "generic-restore" program to "miss" the beginning of the next tape header and abort. It is critical to avoid dumping all binary items for this reason. |
