Easy-TimeShare is is very simple to install, and even simpler to use.
Installation
If you are going to use our system as a single user, and you already have Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher on our machine, all you need to do is to download our software off of the Internet, then enter your user name and password, and the information about your local Internet provider, and you are ready to click-start using Easy-TimeShare. This will take about 15 minutes. If you do not have I.E. 4.0, then you will have to download this as well.
If you have multiple users who will share the same Internet connection, be it a dial-up modem connection, or connection via ISDN, DSL, or cable-modem, install is a little, but not much, more complex: your local hardware supplier (typically) will install your hardware for you. This will include a Windows PC with Internet Explorer as an Internet gateway, and any number of additional PCs, or dumb terminals running off of a serial or RAS connection, or both in a mix-and-match environment. He will also either install or download the Easy-TimeShare management software we provide, including an optional terminal emulator we provide. Configuration will also take a little longer, but again not much as there will be more devices to configure.
Use
Once installed, Easy-TimeShare works automatically to establish and hold your Internet connection to our server. Typically, this runs through the following steps:
You are now connected and can begin using the service.
If you lose the connection for any reason, Easy-TimeShare automatically tries to reestablish the link. In general, other than a possible slight delay, you will not even notice this reconnection delay.
And if the link cannot be completely established, the client at your end will go into diagnostic mode, attempting to tell you what is broken. This begins with modem and connection validation, followed by the component parts of our server. This intelligence saves a lot of service work by telling service technicians where to look for a problem.
Service/Support
Telephone support for your connection to our database server can be provided by EasyCo, as part of your service package. However, the vast bulk of users buy their services as part of an entire package of software, applications support, and services provided by an application developer. This often makes a great deal of sense as the reseller is knowledgeable about all aspects of your relationship and needs, and hence can serve you more efficiently than EasyCo can.
Payment
Payment will either be through your service provider, or to EasyCo acting as a billing agent for your service supplier (because we have the software to handle a large number of relatively small payments).
